Bahá'u'lláh and the Crisis Our Times
Learning objectives: for each session
Knowledge: students will define and describe the crisis that are impacting our collective society; wisdom- participants will identify and distinguish writings based responses to the crisis of our times from the standards of today; Spiritual Perception- participants will transfer and use writings based responses to the ways in which societal crisis have shown themselves in their own particular communities; Eloquent speech- students will synthesize learning from the session to develop a plan of action that is particular to his/her needs and circumstances.
Ruhiyyih, Justin, and Lua Yuille have been teaching and serving in the Baha’i community for nearly 30 years. Their professional, scholarly, and Baha’i service has taken them all over the world.
The Yuilles’ formal education and pedigree includes credentials and training from the University of Redlands, Northern Arizona University, the Johns Hopkins University, and many more world renowned universities. Among them they hold advanced degrees in education, law, international relations, and speech and language pathology.
Their highly interactive and innovative program will blend popular media, art, and activities to create a space for frank, difficult, purposeful, radical, wonderful, transformative, and loving conversations guided by the sacred texts on issues at the heart of the Baha’i Faith.
